Pairing guide

Link your cube in six steps

Everything you need to connect an Auddi.ai cube to your account and get touch verification working — plus fixes for the issues people hit most.

Pairing steps

1. Power the cube

Connect the USB-C cable and wait about 30 seconds. The top touchscreen wakes with the Auddi.ai welcome prompt once boot completes.

2. Join your network

On the cube, open Settings → Network and join the same Wi-Fi your computer uses. Pairing needs an internet connection on both sides.

3. Start a pairing session

On this site, open Devices and tap Start pairing. You get a QR code and a 7-character code that works once and expires after 10 minutes.

4. Scan or type the code

On the cube, go to Settings → Pair account. Scan the QR from your screen, or type the 7-character code with the on-screen keypad.

5. Enroll your finger

After the cube links, enroll your fingerprint: rest and lift your finger 3-5 times so the sensor captures the edges of your print.

6. Confirm verification

Touch and hold the sensor for about two seconds. The ring turns white and the Devices page flips to Verified — pairing is done.

Touch verification troubleshooting

Work down the list — most scan problems clear up in the first two fixes.

Scan fails every time

Why: Wet, dry, or cold fingertips, or smudged scanner glass.

Fix: Wipe the glass with a dry cloth, warm and dry your fingertip, then press flat — don't roll or swipe.

Verification stays “pending” after pairing

Why: Fingerprint templates live on the cube and don't carry across accounts.

Fix: Re-enroll in Settings → Profiles → Enroll, then run one verification so the cube reports back.

It verifies someone else's finger

Why: An old profile from a previous owner is still enrolled.

Fix: Open Settings → Profiles, remove every profile you don't recognize, and re-enroll the owner.

Scanner never lights up

Why: The cube is asleep or the screen is locked to a different profile.

Fix: Tap the screen once to wake it, then hold the power pad for 5 seconds if the sensor ring stays dark.

You can't scan at all right now

Why: Bandaged finger, injury, or a hardware fault.

Fix: Use the backup code sent to your account, or voice verification, from the unlock screen's “Other options”.

Pairing code says invalid or expired

Why: Codes are single-use and last 10 minutes.

Fix: Return to Devices and start a fresh pairing session, then enter the new code straight away.

Your print stays local

Fingerprint templates never leave the cube's secure enclave. Only device metadata and verification outcomes sync to your account.

Backups always available

Emailed backup codes and voice verification cover you whenever the scanner can't read your finger.
